Leadership
is Calling You!
Are you ready
to go to a new level—to see a bigger picture of 4-H? Whether
you’ve been in 4-H since 3rd grade or just joined a couple
of years ago, if you’re now in junior high, check out what
4-H has to offer YOU:
How about:
...New 4-H friends
......District and state activities
.........Advanced leadership
............Service learning
...............More fun than you could imagine!
Take a look
at what you get to do if you join the County Teen Representative
(CTR) program:
- Provide
leadership as an advisor to local county teen programs
- Serve as
a planner and facilitator for local, county, and district events
- Receive
advanced leadership training
- Participate
in the statewide CTR team
- Make new
4-H friends from across the state
- Promote
4-H teen opportunities at all levels of 4-H programming
Each Washington
state county can select two to four teens to serve as a CTR. Should
you choose to accept this exciting position, you will work with
an adult mentor to come up with an activity or project in your county
that strengthens the 4-H program—strengthens youth. Maybe
it’s a 4-H teen night, a club project exchange, or a 4-H information
float for community parades. Maybe you want to present 4-H to community
partners, lead a Super Saturday workshop,
or plan a district rally. Whatever you decide as a team, you have
the great ideas to make it happen and the CTR program gives you
the resources.

As a CTR you
can also participate in fun, advanced leadership trainings from
4-H staff and great mentoring by State Ambassadors. A teen leadership
listserve with other CTRs and State Ambassadors will help you exchange
ideas and deal with challenges. It’s the doorway to many new
experiences in 4-H at the district, state, and national levels.
So why wait?
The next level is calling you. Check it out today.
