Standing Room Only: Fun & Productive 4-H Meetings (Scott VanderWey)
Learn tips and tools to facilitate effective and engaging council meetings. Bring a current challenge you are facing, an idea you want to try, and/or examples of what is already working well. Be ready to explore scenarios to gain ideas to apply to your county.
Servant Leadership For 4-H (William Feitas)
Through experiential learning explore the elements and moments which shape leaders and the ways they think, act and lead. Learn how to enjoy Servant Leadership in your personal life and transmit it to your 4-H organization. We will explore its relationship and impact to power, values, emotional intelligence and happiness.

Talking When It’s Tough (Natalie Kinion)
Based on the ideas presented in the book Crucial Conversations (by Patterson, Grenny, McMillan, and Switzler), this workshop will be an interactive application of several communication strategies when engaging in conversations when opinions vary, stakes are high, and emotions run strong. Come to this training to help you improve your life by improving your communication and leadership skills.
SET to Move Forward (Janet Edwards and Chuck Todd)
There are endless possibilities to increase science literacy through 4-H. Spend the day exploring not only new ideas for SET programs but also sample ways to instill more science in your ongoing club work. Workshop will include hands on activities such as bridge building, video production, animal science and much more!
Textile Track Times Two (Floy Ziegler and Susan Parr)
First you will learn why some fabrics are better suited for different uses. Explore such aspects as draping qualities, heat sensitivity, water wicking, flammability, and ability to withstand abrasion. The second part is Happy Fleece. Learn ways to work with fleece that will dress up the simplest fleece project. BRING A SEWING MACHINE & NOTIONS.
Horse Training 101 (Jennifer Leach)
Participants will learn and see the difference that natural horsemanship and youth development does to increase the self confidence and calmness in both the horse and rider that will result in a more enjoyable experience for rider in whatever discipline they do ranging from western games to performance to dressage to pleasure trail riding.
Native American Weaving (Members of the Chehalis Tribe) Noon - 4:00PM
Participants will have the opportunity to learn the craft of weaving from artists that have many years of experience. Come and learn a new skill and create a useful piece of art for your home. There are three different options to weave: a hairpiece ($5), a small basket ($10) and a large basket ($20).
