Teen Programming Committee

 

Purpose

The purpose of this committee is to provide direction to various 4-H teen programs, including the State Ambassadors, State Conference, Know Your Government, National Events, the state technology team, as well as county and district wide teen leadership programs. Direction can be defined as: specific suggestions as to program content, function, and/or processes for management, resources and advice.

Goals

The purpose of the Teen Programming Committee is to provide direction to various 4-H teen programs, including the State Ambassadors, State Conference, Know Your Government, National Events, the State Technology Team, as well as county and district wide teen leadership programs. Direction can be defined as: specific suggestions as to program content, function, and/or processes for management, resources, and advice.

Eligibility: This committee is made up of county faculty and staff, as well as adult 4-H volunteers and youth leaders, with the committee comprised of 4 youth, 3 volunteers, and 3 county faculty/staff.

Commitment: Quarterly conference calls with the possibility of one face-to-face meeting a year. One- or two-year terms of service.

Benefits: Increase your knowledge of adolescent programming, learn about teen programs across the state, be part of a team providing vision for teen programming, and increase your skills in working with faculty/staff, volunteers, and youth.
