Recruit Your Teens
--Jan Klein
This is the time to be recruiting your teens to participate in the 2008 Know Your Government Conference.
Most counties will begin pre-conference county sessions during December. There are four sessions leading up to the Statewide Community Caucus on January 23, 2008. County delegates may select a candidate to run for the 4-H Nominee to represent the 4-H platform. They will also be submitting planks to build the 4-H platform concerning local county issues.
The KYG Conference takes place February 16-19, 2008 in Olympia, WA and will include selection of the 4-H Candidate Nominee, finalizing the 4-H Platform, speakers, workshops, a Capital tour and entertainment. For promotional flyers or more information please contact Jan Klein, State 4-H Teen Leadership Coordinator, at: jlklein@wsu.edu or 509-358-7937.
