New Pieces to Add to the Excitement at Teen Conference!
--Jan Klein

Rise to the Challenge - 4-H Summer Teen Conference, June 29-July 1, 2008

TOURS!
During the check-in time on Sunday, June 29, 3-5 p.m. we will be offering tours of the campus and the steer/dairy departments. Youth wishing to take advantage of these opportunities should check-in at 3 and be ready to take the tour immediately following.

COMMUNITY SERVICE!
Operation Military Kids- Hero Packs
Teen Conference delegates will “Rise to the Challenge” in support of all those who provide the proud tradition of service and leadership, and the families who help a loved one serve our country with honor. We will be putting together Hero Packs and writing letters to the youth and their families who serve with the Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard. These Hero Packs are to salute those kids who have a loved one deployed from their household. They may be experiencing stress and strains that may not be visible to the public, and may be isolated from other military families which can not make it easy when they go through having someone deployed.

BUS TRANSPORTATION FROM THE WESTSIDE!
Don't forget that two buses will be provided for those registering ahead of time, for round trip transportation to WSU for teen conference. Youth and adults may reserve a spot for one of these buses when they register online.

IPods!
Two youth will be winning an IPod at teen conference! Visit http://4h.wsu.edu/conferences/teenconf/index.htm for more information.
