Seven years as staff and 23 years as a volunteer
Where did you grow up?
Oregon and Idaho
Favorite activities/interests:
Horseback riding on the mountain trails
Were you in 4-H as a youth?
I did the sheep project along with a home and personal safety project in Idaho.
What did you like most?
The youth in our group were great mentors and helped me as a younger member.
How did your time in 4-H help you over the years?
4-H taught me a great deal about responsibility to myself and my animals.
What do you enjoy about working in 4-H?
The interaction with youth and other leaders. Sharing of common interest with adults. Working on projects, sharing the successes and working out the not so successful.
How have you seen 4-H help youth as they develop and grow?
I have watched young, shy members grow and development into positive young adults who will make their mark in society.
